Online Organizational Accounts for Upcoming H-1B Season Announced

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services shared a set of enhancements to the customer experience for the upcoming H-1B cap season. These improvements are supposed to simplify the collaboration between organizations and their legal representatives during the filing process.

For FY2025, USCIS organizational accounts will be introduced for both non-cap filings and H-1B cap filings. These accounts let multiple individuals from a company, as well as their legal representatives, to collectively complete H-1B registrations, Form I-129 (Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker), and the related Form I-907 (Request for Premium Processing Service). Once introduced and set up, the entire H-1B process will transition to a fully electronic format, from registration to the final decision and transmission to the Department of State.

The availability of these organizational accounts is targeted for February 2024, followed by the implementation of online filing for Form I-129 and Form I-907. These changes are anticipated to minimize duplicate H-1B registrations and address common issues.

To enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and standardize processes, USCIS is relocating the paper filing location for Forms I-129 and I-907 to USCIS lockboxes.

USCIS will conduct two national engagement events on January 23, 2024, and January 24, 2024, to review the organizational accounts. Additional smaller sessions will be offered closer to the H-1B registration date. Attendees can seek answers to their questions to better prepare for the new accounts. Invitations for these events are expected to be sent out in January 2024.
