2027 H-1B Cap Fulfilled

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced they’ve reached enough petitions for the FY2027. This means USCIS has enough applications from the initial H-B registration period. This includes H-1B applications under the advanced degree exemption (master’s cap). The submission period for beneficiaries from selected employers begins on April 1, 2026.

Beneficiaries only file H-1B cap-subject petitions at the proper filing location or through their online USCIS account. The H-1B registration period lasts until June 30, 2026. Additionally, USCIS only accepts the most recent version for Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker. Starting April 1, USCIS only accepts the most recent version. Finally, all information contained in a cap petition must match the information submitted during the initial H-1B registration period.
