United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released Form I-140G, Immigrant petition for the Gold Card Program, on December 10, 2025. This means individuals can now apply for an expedited path to lawful residency and citizenship. The Gold Card was initially introduced as an immigrant alternative to the EB-5 investors visa.
Here’s what to Know About the new Gold Card Program:
- Required documentation: Applicants must file a copy of Form I-140G along with any additionally required documents.
- Edition date: The latest edition for each release of Form I-140G is available on the USCIS website.
- Where to file: USICS will issue a notice directing applicants to log into their online USCIS account and upload it there.
- When to file: Individuals can only file a Form I-140G after they registered on the Gold Card website and received confirmation that their submission was added. Said confirmation will be emailed by USCIS.
- Filing Fee: Applicants must submit a fifteen-thousand-dollar fee for each person included on their petition. That includes the principal beneficiary, along with any listed spouse or children.
Prospective applicants can send a message to immigration authorities if they have any questions, but only after they’ve logged into their online USCIS account. Initially announced in February 2025, the government enacted the Gold Card Program via executive order on September 19, 2025.
