All available EB-2 visas are issued for FY2024. The EB-2 visa is for qualifying individuals with exceptional skills or advanced degrees. This means embassies and consulates cannot give out any more EB-2 visas until the new fiscal year starts on October 1, 2024.
Each year, the Immigration and Nationality Act sets a limit on how many employment-based visas can be issued. For EB-2 visas, the annual limit is 28.6% of the total employment-based visas available. The State Department and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services work together to reach this limit, to the extent possible.
