Nonimmigrant Worker Options After Lay Off

Nonimmigrant workers have options if they have been laid off. In general, employment-visa holders in E-1, E-2, E-3, H-1B, H-1B1, L-1, O-1, or TN classifications can remain in the U.S. for a maximum of 60 days following termination of employment.
