The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officially announced an upcoming increase in filing fees for Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing, effective February 26, 2024. This adjustment in cost is in response to inflation. According to the USCIS Stabilization Act passed in 2021, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has the authority to revise premium processing fees every two years. Notably, this is the first time the fee has seen an update. All eligible forms and categories are impacted by this fee hike.
The adjustment in fees is determined by the inflation rate observed from June 2021 to June 2023, as measured by the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers. The additional fees will be used to enhance premium processing services, facilitate improvements in adjudication responses, and support various other USCIS services.
