U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) introduced a convenient tool known as Enterprise Change of Address (E-COA). This online feature is designed to make it easier for individuals with pending applications, petitions, or requests to update their address information with USCIS.
E-COA offers several advantages:
- Most individuals with a USCIS online account can use E-COA to update their mailing and physical addresses for pending applications, petitions, or requests.
- The online option eliminates the need to manage address changes in multiple locations or to complete paper forms such as the AR-11.
- E-COA automates address updates for nearly all types of forms, with only a few exceptions.
- Even customers without pending applications can use this tool to inform USCIS about their address change.
E-COA is accessible in English and is available through a USCIS online account, whether the pending case was initially submitted online or via mail.
Please be aware that individuals protected under specific provisions are not eligible to use E-COA during the initial phase. They should refer to separate instructions for updating their address.
A change of address filed with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) does not automatically update the address with USCIS, as a reminder. E-COA simplifies the address update process for those with USCIS accounts and pending filings.
