USCIS Expands the myProgress Program

The myProgress program is expanding and now includes more forms for users to track their progress in the U.S. immigration process. The program now covers Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and Form I-131, Application for Travel Document. When users log into their online accounts, they see estimates of how long each step of the process may take, including when a final decision might be made. It’s important to remember that these estimates are not guarantees and the actual processing time may be shorter or longer.

Currently, myProgress is available for individuals who file:

  • Form N-400, Application for Naturalization,
  • Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card, or
  • Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative.

To see the estimated timelines, individuals must have a USCIS online account. If the form is filed electronically or linked using an online code, individuals can find information for that application under the myProgress tab.

The information displayed in the myProgress tab includes:

  • Confirmation of receipt,
  • Biometrics appointment completion status, if required, and
  • The decision on the pending case.

Individuals filing an Outside of Normal Processing Times request should check the Case Processing Times webpage first to confirm if they are eligible.
