An online option is being made available for noncitizens to submit their change of address, per U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The online tool gives noncitizens a third option, along with existing in-person and phone options, to update their information.
The purpose of this online option is to make it easier for noncitizens to adhere to the terms of their immigration status. Additionally, because the form requires U.S. Postal Service standardization, it will also improve the accuracy of information provided. The online tool will be available on a rolling basis with full availability in the coming weeks. Once available, it provides an option for noncitizens, other than visiting their field office or making a call. Instead, qualifying individuals can conveniently submit their information online. If the noncitizen is in removal proceedings, the interactive form will provide the user with information on how to update their address with the immigration court. Noncitizens can use the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR),form EOIR-33, Change of Address for that update This form can be submitted via U.S. mail, in person at the immigration court, or online through EOIR’s Respondent Access. Updates on asylum applications will also be included.
To provide change of address information, a noncitizen must provide a full name, their A-number, and a confirmed non-commercial address. The form takes approximately one minute to complete. All noncitizens are also required to report their change of address to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) within 10 days of moving. Individuals with A and G visas and visa waiver visitors are not eligible for the online form.
